Introducing CyberChads
Welcome degen. If you are here reading this, chances are that you are one of the few lucky ones that will be able to purchase your very own CyberChad. “What exactly is a CyberChad?” you might ask. The Cyberchads are rare pixel art, internet-culture, cryptomemes and 4chan inspired NFTs. Each artwork is accompanied with a slammin’ tune that will get you that fine audiovisual retrowave experience.
To jump into an overly saturated NFT scene is not for the faint of hearts, and upon starting this art-project we asked ourselves: does the world need another incrementing price scheduled NFT drop of asset combined/generated art? Are we not seeing enough new obvious cash grabbing, low effort, pixel “art” released on opensea.io in a really worrisome pace at the moment? Our answer was yes, seeing this explosion really seems like an unsustainable trend. Instead we asked ourselves: what does this space need?
Being a young group of doomers from Europe, our common interests of music, art, everything DeFi and NFTs, it seems to us that most of these NFT project being released at the moment are just peeling the surface of the realm of possibilities of what an NFT can be. That being said we are not implying that we are here to write history, because we aren’t. We are here because of our passion for this space, and our purpose is to further explore what is possible within the NFT medium.
CyberChads are created in the same spirit we perceive the entirety of crypto to be: innovative, rule breaking and fun. We have no interest in being yet another corporate art collective, claiming contradictory titles about being punks. We love memes and 4chan, which reflects in the project and we don’t aim to be anything else than memesters at the end of the day.
Upon launch, which is the time this article will go live, users will have just over two weeks to get their hands on a Chad. However, if our sale gets fully subscribed the sale might end sooner. The launch consists of 5453 chads with different levels of rarities depending on their gear and appearance. For more info refer to our “RarityList” that is soon to be added. These CyberChads will be divided into 9 different price ranges. Amount of chads and exact prices are both Fibonacci numbers, hence the presale title: “Fib-sale”. Five CyberChads exist outside of the Fib-sale. Two of these will represent the dev team - one DevDoomer NFT and one ArtDoomer NFT. These won’t be traded as they represent our digital existence in this space. Besides them, two other NFT will be one-offs sent to community members (we will drop more info about this in 48 hours after the launch). Last one will be sent to someone special (announcement to be made). All five of these are extremely rare, with the three latter being supremely rare, having exclusively custom gear, background and music.
After Fib-sale is done, the upcoming timeline will be dependent on the project being over- or undersubscribed. We want each community member holding a CyberChad to truly feel and understand that they hold something special. No one CyberChad will be identical with anyone else’s, so even more “common” CyberChads are still rare. To further improve the uniqueness, remaining CyberChads not being sold will get burned forever. This means that hypothetically in two weeks there can either be five or 5453 circulating chads. If you miss the Fib-sale the only way to get your hands on a CyberChad will be on the open market. After this, the future is dependent on community interaction. Plans like making more seasons (with completely different gear and characters to preserve the rarity), community competitions, customizable NFTs and games is something we are envisioning, but will only be reachable with a strong community. From the start, we can only promise the audiovisual experience though and hope holders will appreciate them as much as we have appreciated creating them.
